Independent threatening to withdraw support. Unconfirmed.

Just received an unconfirmed report of something afoot in Leinster House. I have heard that one of the Independents supporting the government is thinking of withdrawing his support. I heard it from a normally reliable source who has said that he heard through the grapevine. He also mentioned that he doesn't know who it is (though everybody is porportedly coming up with the same suggestion as to who it might be). He's speculating that it might be a ploy to get a bigger slice of the cake for his constituency. If it's a genuine withdrawal this means government majority is getting even thinner. If it is a ploy, it shows how thin the government is, that someone would try this.

As said, unconfirmed at the moment, but if anyone else hears similar, or wants to confirm it, go ahead.

So it's either Jackie Healey Rae or Finian McGrath...

    It's Finian Mcgarth again.

This berk has lost all credibility at this stage. He tries to play both sides of the court wrt his association with FF. He's a sell-out and is finding the reception he's getting on the ground in his constituency pretty rough by all accounts.

He'll huff and he'll puff but he'll be out of breath when it comes to doing the necessary.

I haven't got it confirmed by I have just tried calling a couple of people I know in Leinster House and neither are answering their phones. One was the guy who told me.

I suspect that it might be a bargaining ploy. If so they will try to keep it under wraps but if I heard it, you can bet that many others have as well.
