    Let the speculation begin!
    Here we go and this sums things up in a NUTSHELL

    "A number of Ministers said that Mr Cowen will take geographical considerations into account.

    ‘‘It’s always important to get the geographical spread right. That is all the more important because of the local and European elections,” said one Minister of State."

    Country up to it's arse in trouble and this to me (and I presume I'm right) in assuming that the "better" people (if there is such a thing) for the job may not be assigned due to getting the "geographical" spread right.

    So here we have it ...... more tomfoolery and

    Sigh;

    Hopefully the annihilation of FF in the local and european elections will show cowen and co that even ff voters aren't as thick as their own leaders think they are.

    It is also thought unlikely that both female Ministers of State, Máire Hoctor and Mary Wallace, will be dropped because the party has few female TDs, and fewer with the requisite experience, or the track record that would lend itself to promotion.http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...244628112.html

    So we have to keep at least one of these dunderheads because she's a woman!

    Or surely Martin Cullens PR advisor that he took to the bejing olympics will help her out if she does get the chop
    The one who costs €97,000 pa and is her sister Michelle Hoctor.

    Why should Trevor Sargent or the Green Party be spared losing repressentation at Junior Level? Would it not be fairer for one of the Green cabinet ministers to carry their fair share of sacrifice add drop down to Super Junior allowing one of the Junior's enter cabinet, Pat Carey? this would prove that the Green Party are an equal partner and prepared to share the pain. What credibility will they have on the doorstep in the local elections if they're not going to deliver on what Mary White says is their agenda of Dail reform. It'd be cycnical in the extreme to suggest that juniors should be cut and not take the hit, or indeed that some parliamentarians should see their incomes drop but not be prepared to ready up themselves. Is Green politics not clean politics?
