shocking.. but she has form with this kind of thing. Wasn't she caught out in the Dáil chamber cribbing notes from some civil servant.

Anyone want to speculate on who is for the chop?

    The current list is

    Pat Carey (Dublin NW)
    Barry Andrews (Dun Laoighaire)
    Martin Mansergh (Tipperary S)
    Dick Roche (Wicklow)
    Peter Power (Limerick E)
    Trevor Sargent (Dublin N)
    Billy Kelleher (Cork NC)
    Sean Haughey (Dublin NC)
    John Moloney (Laois-Offaly)
    Sean Power (Kildare S)
    Tony Killeen (Clare)
    John McGuinness (Carlow-Kilkenny)
    Maire Hoctor (Tipperary N)
    Michael Finneran (Roscommon-Leitrim S)
    John Curran (Dublin MW)
    Conor Lenihan (Dublin SW)
    Jimmy Devins (Sligo-Leitrim N)
    Mary Wallace (Meath E)
    Noel Ahern (Dublin NW)
    Michael Kitt (Galway E)

Presumably, if geography comes into it, those ministers who have a cabinet member in their constituency (Andrews, Power, Moloney) must be at risk. As must the two junior ministers from Dublin NW (Ahern, Carey).

    Who is definitely safe?

Noel Ahern seems likely to go, as does Sean Haughey. I would say Wallace as well but isn't that a risky constituency for FF..

Surely the following have to go
    Trevor-Greens called for a cull
    Sean Power-volunteered to walk plank
    Maire Hoctor-nuff said
John Maloney-speaking out of turn about Cowen
Michael Finneran-is he really a mini min
Noel Ahern-somebody from Dublin has to go.

that is 6 out so 1 promotion-the Class Act from Mayo due to that letter.

Last Tuesday, Harry McGee reported in the IT that up to 8 juniors would lose their positions. Now Mark Hennessy in today's IT says that there will be minimum change. Cowen expected to limit Minister of State changes - The Irish Times - Mon, Apr 20, 2009

Clearly that kite didn't fly very far.

    Hmmmmm
A number of juniors are in trouble. A reappointment for Meath’s Mary Wallace, now in Health and Children, would be extremely unpopular with parliamentary party colleagues.
What is wrong with her ?

Also why wasn't the flaw exposed before :

    Mary Wallace
Minister of State at Dept of Justice, Equality & Law Reform 1997-2002
Appointed Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food on the 14th February 2006
Appointed Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children (with special responsibility for
Health Promotion and Food Safety) in May 2008
    ?
