How do I get a question raised in the Dáil?

    I'm back.

After my sojourn away from the centre of power I have decided to try and get a particular question raised in the Dáil. Anyone got any ideas on how I should proceed.

No rush with this tonight, however I want to be able to proceed before the next Cabinet meeting.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and suggest you ask your local TD.

You ring your TD and tell him /her/she/it that you have a question for written reply
this ensures that the question goes on the Oireachtas record and that you get a response in writing:
    Thus ensuring :

    1. A personal paper trail.
    2. A recorded response.

You should have the original document and written repsonse within a week or two.
The TD will address it to the relevant Minister/Junior or Senator on your behalf- because
    that is his/her job.

you may then publish it, frame it in the toilet or use it to light a fire depending on your
own response to the answer received.

Why bother? You won't get any answers.

There is always a positive answer when you get in touch with your local TD but the problem is that of arrogances, well professionalism does prevails from them sometimes.

Parliamentary Democracy is a very weak form of democracy. The real issues concerning people are rarely dealt with.

Getting elected as a TD would be a good start.

Is your question really necessary? Every question asked costs money....which could be put elsewherinto services....can the information you seek be garned elsewhere?
