NUI Panel - Rónán Mullen to be elected

Just back from the NUI count.

Rónán Mullen is certain to get elected, and is likely to top the poll. He is former press officer with Dublin Catholic Diocese, and a strong social conservative.

A balance to the (possible) election of Bacik in Trinity?

This is a disturbing development. Any idea who else will get in?

Major shock if this happens. How was Hillery polling?

What a tolerant lot you are.

In the 1930s people paraded their superiority by looking down on others of different races.

Today we do it by looking down on people of different views. And by looking down on those stupid people in the 1930s.

How could they have been so stupid?

I doubt the Galilean would be professing much joy at this loon gaining any semblance of power.
