Whenever I see his name I just turn off. Life's too short to pay any attention to idiots like that.
The p.ie equivalent would be 'hbap defends something or other fg related'

I wouldnt mind paying for Mick Wallace to be put through a car wash or for Inda to be sent on a personel development course but the majority of expences are way over board.

How much do you think is a reasonable figure? Why are you never capable of offering anything other than anger at a news story?

Some expenses are justified such as subsidy for running constituency office but the idea of getting an allowance to turn up to work is just wrong. It is clear TDs who have to travel the furthest will have higher expenses but hard to judge unless see a breakdown.

Probably some meal vouchers and an allowance per mile should be sufficient. They are politicians not visiting royalty.

Agreed, but things like stationary, accomodation, phone calls etc need to be expensed as well. The problem really isn't the fact that there are expenses, or that they're a lot of money to some people, it's the manner in which they're controlled. As Damus said, they should all be vouched and expenses, and rthings like accomodation in Dublin, phones etc should be centrally sourced and managed outside the TDs control.

0, Zero, Zilch, Nada, Nil, feck all, Nothing - any of these would be fine.

They get way, way overpaid as it is.

They are supposed to be serving the country and this is a time of national crisis!

    Expenses? FFS!

I travelled about 80 miles to and from work each day about a year ago. I got no expenses for petrol, toll bridges and parking.

If you work far away from where you live - deal with it.
