TD's like Mick Wallace should smarten themselves up and at least look like they have some pride in their job...In fairness a ridiculous pink shirt and scraggy hair, how can you take him serious and competent..

The likes of wallace is just playing up to his constituents with this carry on, kind reminds me in school of the get up the 'rebels or 'cool people' who sit at the back off the class

Utter, total, and complete balls. France? Almost always a suit, and ALWAYS impeccably groomed. Germany? The same; take a look at the Reichstag. Italy? They'd rather be shot than look like Mick Wallace. The Europeans are MORE formal, by and large, and vastly better dressed as a result.

Thought I was seeing things on 6.1 News this evening - Joe Higgins, speaking in a Dail Committee, wearing a tie!! Honest, I'm certain I saw it. Has he given in?
"Elite - a small superior group; esp one that has a power out of proportion to its size." (Oxford English Dictionary)

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

And what's wrong with that? Lenin went around in three piece suits. Clem Attlee was as dapper a man as could be wished.

There's no link between socialism and being a scruffy bastard.

Well in Ireland there is the TAILOR or choice... and it shows... Louis' suits are always too long, the legs never look tailored and the result is Bogmen dressed in a suit that still look like bogmen.... What is missing in Ireland is style... and that is something you cannot buy!
