If there was a General Election in the morning, how would you vote?

There has been much critisism for the current government in the last couple of months. Recent poll had FG on 30% and LAB on 11%. This is quite a seismic shift since February.
So to understand how this has affected P.ie members, how would you vote in the morning if a snap GE was called.
Perhaps reply by saying which party you voted for in February to who you would in the hypothetical election in the morning.
It would also give an indiction as to which opposition party can expect the most gains next time out.

Can a MOD set up a poll with a list of the parties and the question 'Which party would you vote for in the mornng?'.

Personally, I voted SF last time out and would keep the same 'in the morning'.

Fine Gael. They may not be brilliant, but the alternatives are all jokes!

I probably wouldn't bother my arse voting at all, not unless there was some brand new right wing option available that was committed to reforms and reducing the state and waste and general bullsh!t that goes on day in day out in this country.

SF for now, I will vote for them until they get into power and reject them if they don't impress me when they do get into power. Would probably give Willie penrose my no 2 if he ran and stayed outside the Labour party, local SF candidate will probably make it next time out but an IND Penrose would be the best of the rest.

What a pointless thread. This govt has the biggest mandate and the biggest majority in the history of the state - it is going nowhere near an election until after it leads the Easter 2016 centenary celebrations.

It simply doesn't have to worry and can afford 20 or so TDs going overboard and still stay in power comfortably.

Why in the world would Kenny, Gilmore or anyone else in FG and Labour care about a poll taken a week after an unpopular budget and barely a year into a five-year term?

People here really need to come back into the really world from the parallel universe that is P.ie.

    As before SF!

Feedmelies says the opposition is a joke and wont vote for them. Is that because FG/LAB do comedy better?

That's a great question to take into the New Year....to be honest I'm not actually sure. I know I'd never vote FF - never did and never will, but I have to admit to being disappointed by the glacial pace FG are dealing with issues, if at all. While NAMA still exists and the likes of Sean Quinn's family get to keep their passports while pulling the kind of stunts they have a lot to do.

If I could be sure SF wouldn't kill the goose that laid the golden eggs in the late 90s I'd almost be inclined to vote for them to shake up the "establishment" for a few years.
    The more things change....
