Why in the world would Kenny, Gilmore or anyone else in FG and Labour care about a poll taken a week after an unpopular budget and barely a year into a five-year term?

People here really need to come back into the really world from the parallel universe that is P.ie.
Reality is probably a better place for our absence.

SF and maybe a few independents.
Would never vote for FF, FF lite (FG) have really disappointed me...and Labour have lost the run of themselves totally.

Well Grumpy -for the following reasons. Labour are on the way down- faster than most expected and with 3 or 4 defections even before its first budget, it is only a matter of time before most realise the party just might be more important than there saleries.

Majority's no matter how big are never static -as FF once discovered. Only a fool would believe this present lot will see out a full term!

I'm not voting in national elections anymore. There is no social contract, there is no moral right to govern, there is nobody who I consider intelligent enough to be incompetent.

I don't believe in Ireland anymore. Literally.

What Goose would that be Disillusioned?

I thought FF already killed that - while FG/LAB are currently plucking it -before the bondholders get to eat it!

It impossible to say how I would vote, because it depends on the situation.

I think Fine Gael are doing a reasonably good job, and Fianna Fail lack experience.

The ideal outcome for me would be Fine Gael to have a majority, and Fianna Fail increasing their numbers in opposition at the expense of all other parties and independents.

Pity we can't vote Mr Chopra out.

Labour are going nowhere - turkeys do not vote for Christmas.

Here's the dilemma for all the Labour mavericks with itchy arses - do they pull the plug now and lose their seats in cold, wet January election?

Or do they wait it out, take the flak, hope things improve and have a fighting chance of retaining their seats in 2016?

Even if they accept they are doomed in 2016, do they want to lose their seats now or hang on for another four years before they go back into the wildnerness?

The deluded wisful thinking on the part of Shinners and Trots is hilarious to behold. Lay off the Christmas gargle, lads and lassies.

I didn't vote last time because I didn't see what difference it would make. But the rise SF surprised me so I'll be voting against them at the next election. Probarly opt for Labour due to lack of options. I like Ruairi Quinns stance on reforming our school system away from the roman church. I'll judge Brendan Howlin at the end of his four years.
