If we vote no the first time, second time round will be FU 2.

Ulster Lad won't be happy until we get to vote in favour of his plan to leave the Euro, the EU, Eurovision and possibly the planet.
I started one thread, it was quoted in the New York Times

I never said that. I have no problem with the EU but we should have never gone into the Eurozone. Eurovision on the other hand is just plain sad.

I would ask a similar question, just a slight change in wording

Ahh come on now. How can one reasonably expect a Government to premptively bind a nation to a Treaty that has not yet been drafted???

Apparently it seems, no problems on that front.

"FU deal" does have a rather unfortunate sound. I wouldn't like to be selling an FU deal

Now there's a treaty(?)/deal, whatever that our kids and grandkids will thank us for in the future - the aptly named FU treaty/deal. Brilliant

"Finally"? The summit ended on Friday. Today is Monday.

After briefing the opposition I assume we will finally learn what was agreed to on our behalf and what is expected of us.
Why do you care? You and a few others have spent the weekend commenting on what you're convinced is in the agreement anyway - so either you already know, or you're not actually that interested in the facts.

If it does not legally require a referendum then it is the Governments prerogative to bind us, should they so wish. I am sorry if that does not fit into your ideal scenario, but it is exactly what our Constitutional democracy mandates.

Apparently so, on the grounds that he hasn't done it quickly enough. And if he'd gone straight from Baldonnel to Mickey Martin's office, that would've been too quick, or something.
