FG and Labour must have put money behind the bar for free drinks for the night, that will keep them there nice and quite! While all those nasty budget changes are passed.

Where's that bloke who tried to break into the Dáil chamber today? Let him back in. He'd make more sense than most of the opp anyway and he is in possession of a greater sense of commitment.

Not much being said anyway - just some backbenchers rattling on about the same stuff that has been said umpteen times today in order to get their name in the daily transcripts and getting their speaking minutes up to make it seem as if they are worth their seat.

Maybe they do not get expenses for hanging around doing nothing on a Thursday night so they head home

I assume they can get expenses for hanging around doing nothing on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

The sooner the Dail is reduced to 41 TD's the better

People can ring their councillor for pothole enquiries and Citizens advice for passport info. They do not need direct access to their TD
We have turned the corner.I commend this Budget to the House. Brian Lenihan, 9 December 2009
