Did Sean Barrett have a glass of beer with him in the Dail Chamber yesterday?

This is a still from the Dail debate on the budget yesterday. As can be seen Sean Barrett seems to have a pint or a glass of beer to his right hand. I could well be wrong - and if someone can clarify please do - but if it is indeed a pint of beer I find it a bit incredible...

It sure does look like beer.

If it is, it's a very small glass, like one of those airplane ones.

I'll be honest, I heard it on facebook this morning and didn't believe it, but then saw that picture. It's very bad form considering this would be one day International Media were likely to be watching proceedings in the Dail. Cue "Drunken Irish" stories....

Its just the reflection of the desk, the liquid is clear, not golden brown,

So its most likely Gin and Tonic, not beer!
