Well, the Mail would've been complaining, given that their raison d'etre at the moment is too criticise every spend the government makes.
It is very easy to be a Socialist when one is poor.
That said, it is even easier to be a Socialist when one is rich.

It doesn't need much money, just someone to get off their arse and get on the airwaves on local and national radio. This is grist to the mill of local radio stations.
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

You or your ilk would then be complaining that this PS waster is getting paid to take a cushy junket around the country, and probably getting expenses for it. Unaccountable. Gold-plated pension. Etc.

It may be news to you, but they've invented this thing called a telephone. Someone from a radio station can now actually talk to someone in the Custom House on the radio without them being in the same room. Amazing scientific developments!

    * Assuming you know what a radio is.

"Why is this PS waster taking time off her desk job to discuss something only a thousand people across the country care about? We pay her a HEO salary to run the country instead of the fools we elect to office, not to mention a gold-plated pension, and she spends her time mouthing off to local radio shows to audiences that don't care. Another example of PS waste"

(note, since this statement is hypothetical, there is no need to disambiguate for imbeciles that the quote marks are not describing actual speech)

panopticon that's rubbish argument, unless you have anything useful to say, go away.

look at the previous report in regard to swords, http://www.constituency-commission.ie/docs/con2007.pdf

they just took a block of people and reassigned them, no explanation, no rationale, just to get the ratio in the table right, no effort at all from the CC

Residents of Terenure West and TDs from Dublin South East have also mounted a campaign to have the suburb transferred into that constituency from Dublin South Central, on the basis that Terenure village should not be split, and the area has more affinity to Rathmines than Crumlin or Kimmage.

One submission from the Association of Residents in Terenure argues that Dublin South Central is not sufficiently middle class.
Now that's what I can snobbery - reminds me a bit of the mutual gerrymanderings that goes on in the U.S. (with the exception of Iowa)
