I never thought I'd defend Mary Coughlan, and it wouldn't surprise me if lots of what's said about her is true. All the same, it was hardly a fair line of questioning from Varadkar. And it was clearly scripted by him (and/or his helpers) as a media-friendly soundbite rather than an effective way to hold the Minister to account.
Are you claiming that Varadkar planted a CEO of a top company in the audience - the same CEO that praised Brian Lenihan Jr?

You have a point there. TACA preceded that by a decade or so.

Ah, good old TACA. Really they were only in the ha'penny place when all is said and done. Wouldn't those boyos have been licking their lips if they could've seen the grubby fiscal heights their spiritual heirs would scale?*

(*or the depths their spiritual heirs would plumb, depending on your point of view)

Indeed. TACA was the bicycle with stabilisers. In terms of corruption we progressed rapidly to the private jet.

Leo is not doing himself any favours with those type of attacks ,He reminds me of Brian Hayes before he lost his seat in 2002, It did him the world of good,Lets hope Leo does not have to go that route, If it was Noel Dempsey that was in Coghlans position I don't
think Leo would have made those comments,
