I never thought I'd defend Mary Coughlan, and it wouldn't surprise me if lots of what's said about her is true. All the same, it was hardly a fair line of questioning from Varadkar. And it was clearly scripted by him (and/or his helpers) as a media-friendly soundbite rather than an effective way to hold the Minister to account.
