Dreadful idea. I don't want a foppish squeaky voiced individual representing us. He is a parody of Oscar Wilde.

David Norris is a good speaker and to have a openly active gay head of state would be fantastic. It would send a message to the LGBT community. He would bring a lot of fun to the Aras and promote the LGBT community and their rights at the same time. At the same time he is a protestant and a member of the Church of Ireland which would send a message of its own.

Ditto Graham Norton. Lets have Norton for Pres. In fact lets just go out and grab the first gay we see and give them a hug, the keys of the car, and some spending money.

Bringing Fun ? Promoting gay rights ? Hardly the primary roles of a president.

Anyway he's completely unelectable. People may like a funny gay guy on the radio. It doesn't mean they want him as president.

Not a good candidate and its not because he is gay he likes to speak his mind and ireland is the better for it, will he like being muzzled for 7 years running everything by the government of the day?
