I am a University History student and well aware of our nations history I just wanted to see what you would say. You neglect to point out that many Irish helped Britain in her conquest it happened the day Henry II landed in Ireland and McCarthy Mor submitted to him. Well Marx, the basis of my question is to let other posters have the oppourtunity to give their responses. Therefore, it's not my wish to neglect anything :wink:
I will say though, in the interests of reconcilliation between our two nations. Should Britain not accept blame for over 800 years of crime against our people?

The past is the past, you don't hear America complaining about how mean the British were, they faught for independence, like us, and built a strong state so that noone could ever subver their interests again, like us. And by the way the reason they still hold the north is because a majority up there want them to. Not because of some imperial agenda, do u know how much money it costs their exchequer every year (im gonna assume with some degree of certainty that you don't).
