    Anti-Roma gypsy violence in Belfast

Okay, I look forward to hearing what Steeeve and the others who claimed Loyalist and Far Right involvement in the anti-Roma gypsy protests in Belfast have to say about this:

BBC NEWS | UK | Northern Ireland | Church attack suspect is QC's son

So far, we've had NO evidence of Mein Kampf being stuffed through letterboxes, NO evidence of either Far Right organisations or Loyalists being involved, and no evidence of any anti-foreign sentiment that doesn't relate directly to Roma gypsies.
It's now clear that all of those allegations were lies, propagated by the sinister far left Socialist Workers Movement, who agitated in the area, created an inflammatory 'anti-racism' march through the locality that annoyed the residents, who felt they had been unfairly accused of racism by these leftie blow-ins, and generally made life intolerable for the Roma, the very people they claimed to be concerned about.
Previously, we saw drunk kids arrested in relation with these incidents. Now we hear that one of those responsible is the Catholic son of a QC! A law student at Queens University, no less.
Perhaps now, people will begin to accept that this was the pogrom that wasn't.

Well, refreshing as it is to hear Wee Davy condemning bigotry, one is primarily reminded of his own many instances of anti-Catholic bigotry.
I wouldn't suggest that Loyalists haven't demonstrated racist tendencies. Events in places like Donegall Pass prove otherwise.
What I would say, however, is that they were not involved in the protests about the Roma in Wellington Park.
That set of incidents is a classic example of local kids forcing undesirable residents out of an area, the likes of which, like it or not, occurs in Northern Ireland all the time, and goes unreported most of it.

Aren't there existing threads on this already instead of having a new one for every little detail as they emerge?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.
