    DUP sttarting to play rough

Time to become the uber-divisionists again. The DUP via Wee Sammy is moving to get Long Kesh internment camp delisted, obviously the first step to demolishing and selling on for development and so puttingon up the Shinners and there campaign for a memorial to all the brave men incarcerated therein.

acht "Cromwellian dog" is focal faire againn
nó "cia súd thall" go eann gan eagla
"Mise Tadhg" géadh teinn an t-agallamh

Bodaigh an Cháise táid go hatuireach
ag filleadh ar a gcéird gach spéice smeartha aca
gan ghunna, gan chloidheamh gan pinnse chleachtadar

It would take an astonishing amount of corruption to allow the site to be delisted; it has internationally recognised historical significance.

I sometimes wonder if Wilson says a lot of what he says purely because he knows he will get away with it. Paisley did the same. It'll help ensure the longevity of Sammy's wee thiefdom until Unionists wake up and reject the programming.

Dont know so much about the historic significance of H Blocks, you can't compare it to the site of the Battle of Clontarf and look what happened to that! Exactly how many would visit a H Block theme park?
Given its location on the M1 and close to the A1 perhaps it would make a handy extenison for Sprucefield, bringing north and south together in retail harmony!

The legislation states that a building can be listed if it has proven historical significance. The Hunger Strike will be on future Irish history curriculums and the site at Long Kesh has internationally recognised historical significance.

As for 'The Battle of Clontarf', you are right; there is no comparison. The Hunger Strike is much more widely known about, not that this is any reflection of the significance of the battle in Irish history.

SF are campaigning for a memorial to Loyalist paramilitaries who served time in Long Kesh? Very fair minded of them.
