Not sure if the death of top scumbag William Moore was covered on p.ie yet but a photographer using a long lens was beaten badly at his funeral. So issues of press freedom, the serial killing scumbag William Moore, and the sensationalist press coverage of their deeds arise.
A related article goes into some depth on the Butchers, and the non appearance of Moore at the Historical Enquiries Team. There is no conspiracy to silence suspected yet, he appears to have been physically ill for some time.A gang of about six men attacked a photographer covering his funeral on Thursday afternoon. Alan Lewis of the Northern Ireland Press Photographers Association said that he had been told that the man was surrounded and beaten.
He said that the photographer had been using a long lens to get pictures of the funeral and was attacked when he got out of the car. Some camera equipment was also taken. "I gather it's not life threatening but it was a severe beating he took,"..
The attention these people got has always sickened me a little since the media makes so much money from this. There has already been at least one movie on the topic, numerous sensational books, and all the usual newspaper and pulp histories. Why are people so fascinated by this serial killing stuff?
