    Police injured in missile attack

    Two police officers were injured when they came under petrol bomb and missile attack during disturbances in Derry, police said today.
    They were attacked when they moved in to stop clashes between nationalist and loyalist youths at the interface in the Fountain Street area.

    Both sides targeted the officers, two of whom were injured and needed hospital treatment. The extent of their injuries was not known.

    Seems the youth in Derry, both Nationalist and Loyalist, have found something in common. Their dislike for the PSNI.

    Nothing to do with the PSNI, who are merely stuck in the middle. The violence there has been going on there for years. What is quite worrying is that community-leaders in the Bogside are starting to lose control over these youths. Its unfortunate that the police have to get involved. The City of Derry deserves better then this mindless minority ruining it for everyone.

    Unless there were exhaust fumes and a flame coming out from the back of this missile then the story is nothing new.

    come on Mothball, cities the world over have Estates and areas which are home to gangs of thugs, and these thugs always "hate" the police.
    NI has plenty of Excuses for these people to wrap around themselves to explain their thuggery, they may even occasionally delude themselves, no reason for the rest of us to fall for it.
