Peter Robinsons appetite

£30,000 in FOOD expenses over 4 years?

BBC NEWS | UK | Northern Ireland | Robinsons in £30,000 food claims

Peter and Iris above, thinking back on some nice meals they've had over the years!

You'd think they could have had one of the family pack them a few hang-sambos? Perhaps second cousin removed Billy-Jo-bob or one of them on them the payroll?

If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

maybe Harney and FAS were there for a visit.

Although, if they weer the bill would be at least double.

It amazes me that Irish people do not see what our politicians and Quangos spend.

    "they were receiving
    £571,939.41 a year (approx €640,462)
in various salaries and expenses" according to here.

To put that in perspective, the corrupt EU allows its corrupt MEPs €14,727 in salary and expenses per month, which is approx £150,000 a year.

It would also be interesting to know exactly what Stormomt members and Leinster House members recieve as expenses and what they can claim for.

brit MPs are allowed to claw back food costs which are for their own personal use, but in one case made public in britain so far they had been clawing back the entire grocery bill which happened to include food but also included items like baby products, feminine hygiene products etc.

    edit
Claim: In response to Mr Woolas' [Phil Woolas brit Immigration minister] complaints, the Sunday Telegraph claimed that in August 2004 he had submitted receipts totalling £210.31 for food and was reimbursed in full. However, the paper points out that the receipts included non-permissible items such as disposable bibs, nail polish, comics and a ladies' jumper.

Is the bar tab in the Dail bar covered by the State, the parties or the individual politicians?
