    Hermon in expenses embarrassment

BBC NEWS | Northern Ireland | Hermon repays £2,730 in flat rent

A major embarrassment for the UUP as Hermon repays £2000 of expenses.

Sinn Féin in contrast were able to justify their costs, and did not have to repay them.

While the non-attendance of SF in parliament was a red herring and ridiculous reporting, I must have missed the justification for paying an Irish property developer a multiple of the rental market value.

Again an absolute scandal. and she should repay it.

Another point to say SF have justified £500,000 in expenses is laughable, The only reason all the 18 N.I MPs are getting away with this is because the reaction of the British people was probably 1) N.I part of the UK? and 2nd) They only care about the big three parties.

    Must have missed that.
Do please show me how PSF justify claiming multiples of the market rate to rent flats in London to attend a parliament they never set foot in.

dmc444, can you please detail what the FF politicians spend their "expenses" bonuses on?

Or do you not know as they insist on keeping politicians expense details secret?

If politicans abuse expenses that is wrong and it doesnt matter what party they come from. Go back and read my threads, I thought giving any payouts to sacked Jnr Ministers was wrong.

All the Irish parties have one little difference from what SF do in Westminister, They actually take their seats and do their jobs and i would be stunned if their was the level of abuse that we have seen in Westminister.
