GAA charity bag pack - kids told to remove their GAA tops

BBC NEWS | Northern Ireland | Tesco kids had to remove GAA gear

"Nearly every weekend there's a club bag-packing there - Scouts, basketball, football and rugby teams... and they're always in their club regalia.

"The club T-shirts are plain green with black sleeves, and the club badge is just the round tower of Antrim. So there's nothing contentious and most of the ones bag-packing would have been under the age of 12.

Aww FFS how petty and twisted do you have to be? I presume all of those who complained have also complained to the kerb stone painters, after all it might cause offence.

I am mad. How low does one have to be to put a complaint in about Children Bag Packing.

Exactly - they were in Tesco to raise funds for their GAA club, its stand to reason that they would be wearing gear associated with it

What hope is their for the future when 10-12 year old kids are told they can't wear a GAA top in a store? That Ulster Unionist councillor who complained should be thoroughly ashamed of himself, as should Tesco for giving in to a ridiculous complaint.

Tesco should name the Councillor and should be boycotted until they do so.
