Lets face it, electing people who won't or can't take their seats in the legislature to which they have been elected is something of a lost art in the Norn Iron.
    "Norn Iron".

I have always observed that you can tell the poster is a fool when he uses that particular inane phrase.

Is it supposed to be funny? It never was.

Is it supposed to be original? Well, maybe it was.

    Back around 1973.

What's next, George Galloway is going to stand?

In the meantime, here is some *good* news:

BBC NEWS | Northern Ireland | Ethnic groups getting £1m support
"The thing that always annoyed me about traditional Irish historiography was the paradox of its Anglocentrism. People are now prepared, I think, to confront the possibility that many Irish problems are, in a sense, indigenous to the Irish situation." Roy Foster (1989).

Strange that Duffy was released in 1997 after he murdered two police officers, I wonder why they decided not to "frame" him then....were the Maserene murders a black op or not?

Anyway, great to see the nationalist /republican vote split asunder....

So RIRA recognises the EU? That's a turn up for the books.

For people involved in revolutionary politics you are not very good at secrecy are you?

I mean you are aware that this site is monitored by the Irish and British security services and that anybody who logs on and posts on discussions threads is being monitored????

They already know who you are who your friends are.

That pretty much makes you guys a liability in a revolutionary struggle where the rules are to get caught, not to draw attention to yourself and keep your mouth shut.

Yet here you are blabbling away!

There's a real chance that Duffy could get a reasonable vote, even if he doesn't take the seat. When he does, where does that leave the "microgroup" label? There is substantial support for a republican alternative to the provos, and this will make people face that reality.
