    Snap elections

    Whats your opinion?

Will giving Peter Hain snap election powers make any difference to the current political situation?

Since 2002 Shinners have had an election each year to fight and we are pretty good at it.
In 2002 we had the Dáil election in the 26 counties.
In 2003 we had the last assembly elections in the 6 counties – well worth the effort that one.
In 2004 we fought the Locals and Europeans in the 26 counties – excellent elections for Sinn Fèin.
In 2005 we fought the Meath Bye-election and the General and local elections in the 26 counties.
This will be the first year in 5 that there has not been an election to prepare for, and seen as we are so good at it a snap election probably would not be a bad thing.
Seriosly though - there can be no election to a non existent body. Either sign up to powersharing or all MLA's shold be saked and have there wages taken away.
