Garda Employ Just 14 Protestants In A Force Of 12,000. (26-FEB-04) Europe Intelligence Wire

THE Irish police employ just 14 Protestants in a force of around 12,000 officers, sources have told to the News Letter.

As the 50:50 recruitment policy continues to ensure a greater representation for Roman Catholics in the PSNI, it has been claimed that only 0.1 per cent of the Garda is Protestant.

A Garda source said: "I have it on very good authority that there are just 14 Protestants in the Irish police force.

I can assure you that Donegal has a good number of protestants in the Gardai. Including a senior officer who is related to a well know ex boyband member.

Just saw a report on BreakingNews.ie | Irish News | Breaking News from Ireland of a surge in applications to join the PSNI after recent murders. I'd say that's almost definitely down to the condemnation by SF of the killings .

Probabaly got more to do with rising unemployment - there were approx 8000 applications last year with no murders and no condemnations

New recruits to the RUC cannot now claim to be unaware of the consequences of embarking upon their nefarious 'career'.
"I hereby declare that the Continuity Executive and the Continuity Army Council are the lawful Executive and Army Council respectively of the Irish Republican Army, and that the governmental authority, delegated in the Proclamation of 1938, now resides in the Continuity Army Council, and its lawful successors."

    Yes they do.

Even the RUC's official British name is the "PSNI (incorporating the RUC)".

Actually, it was 8.3% you twat.

    All of which is irrelevant.

And Catholic in that sense has a capital "C". Otherwise it simply means "universal" and does not constitute the Christian religious denomination.

Where are the offices of the organisation called the "Royal Ulster Constabulary"?
