They are implying you are Richard Walsh. Care to confirm or deny?

Whats the matter Risteard - is the answer to this question not in your script?

It seems like an anti recessionary opportunity but I can understand the discomfort of some nationalists at the idea. On the plus side it would make 'Robert Hamill' type events a lot more impossible and probably lead to increased police investigation of Loyalist death squads/drug dealers; on the minus side is the symbolism of the Queens uniform etc
Have any Southerners from a Catholic background joined ?
How would it go down if the PSNI sent a Southerner with an obviously Non-6 county accent to a Loyalist/Republican area ? Would this be taken into account when assigning tasks? Would Southerners be specifically in more danger while policing than non Southerners due to an accent/identity drawing attention to themselves ?
Plus how would one get along with ones colleagues ? How would one socialise if elements of both sides felt a discomfort with ones presence while on or off duty? In most jobs there's a big social aspect but if the PSNI is polarised along religious lines then I cant' see someone with a nationalist identity getting much enjoyment out of Orange day type events with colleagues. Do people in the PSNI treat each other differently based upon perceived background ? Would it be unsafe to broadcast the nature of ones job freely while off duty or even to broadcast ones background to colleagues ?
What are the practicalities ? Any views on this ? Just curious.

If you want to be an enemy of the People of Ireland.
"I hereby declare that the Continuity Executive and the Continuity Army Council are the lawful Executive and Army Council respectively of the Irish Republican Army, and that the governmental authority, delegated in the Proclamation of 1938, now resides in the Continuity Army Council, and its lawful successors."

It is a pity that more Guards/People from the South have not already been recruited into the PSNI at all ranks and particularly experienced higher ranked Guards into senior positions.

There may be some good reasons for some people not to join the PSNI . . . but you do know some people will ask how does a Catholic who joins the PSNI become an enemy of the majority % of Irish people who voted for the Belfast agreement ? Do you see the problem there ?
