Because their cause is just and glorious.
Anything that was slightly dodgy is due to the evil Brits.
Protestants are just the evil minions of an evil empire.

Mate there is no doubt that Irish Republicans have a fanatical hatred of "the evil Brits", also there is no doubt that because of that Irish Republicans were involved in this bombing but dont underestimate the secret state in the UK.

Objectively, It is very difficult to understand the rationale for the Omagh bomb, but, the most likely explanation is that it was planted in the hope of killing security force personnel, by giving inaccurate information regarding its location. I don't think civilians were the target (there were always more downsides than advantages in causing civilian deaths) but the perpetrators obviously realised that there was a big risk of killing civilians and just viewed them as collateral damage and considered it well worth the risk. It was the most cynical miscalculation of the Troubles and effectively ended any significant support for militant republicanism in Ireland.

(or more likely directed it) .Plus others who are more criminally minded who are terrorising nationalist population in Dungannon/Tyrone though come from republican families. Sure you would know most of them , we have them on the loyalist side as well but mainly in Belfast . Ceasefire soldiers who are criminals and bully boys.
