Óglaigh na hÉireann New Years Statement 2006.

Óglaigh na hÉireann New Years Statement 2006.

The leadership of Óglaigh na hÉireann extend new years greetings to all our volunteers especially those incarcerated in British and Irish gaols, to our supporters and to the families of all those who have died in pursuit of Irish freedom.

In the last year Óglaigh na hÉireann has engaged its grassroots in consultation regarding its position. Our position is clear and unambiguous. The IRA constitution will be upheld; the republican position will be defended.

The last year has also witnessed the final acts of surrender by former comrades and current counter revolutionaries. Given the revelations regarding the wholesale infiltration of the Provisional leadership by the British state, it comes as no surprise to Óglaigh na hÉireann that this undemocratic and unrepresentative leadership has been exposed and has been successfully used to implement British policy in Ireland.
This policy is to remain in political, military and economic control of part of our nation. Our policy is to resist this occupation.

The present leadership of Óglaigh na hÉireann pledge to our volunteers and supporters to continue to stand by the aims and objectives of our constitution. The republic proclaimed in 1916, ratified by the Irish people in 1918 and declared on their behalf by Dail Éireann in 1919 will be defended.

    Beir Bua.

The GFA will be defended too, by the 90+% of Irish people who voted for it, against these anti-democratic delusionists.

Please change the thread title to PIRA or something. Don't make me use the word subversive

Why do you think that because SF and the PIRA have informers that you can say anything? You're movement is ten times worse!

I am quite confident that the IRA's new year statement will be issued in due course.

    That was fun though.
