Anyone seen the Education Minister at work ?

Truant Caitríona Ruane has only been in her departmental office on eight days during 18 months.

A spokesman for Ms Ruane did not deny the minister has spent so few days at her official desk.

But, he insisted, this did not impact on the standard of her work, as she could perform her role satisfactorily from Stormont.

"The minister believes that the content and outcomes of meetings held is more important than where they are held," he said.

Ruane must be an embarrassment to Sinn Fein. She is the worst performing Minister in the Executive. She can only gain minial support for her education plans, even catholic school heads are against her.
