Didn't SF also deny IRA involvement in the Murder of Det. McCabe? What cowardly liers they were shown to be.

    More likely the "diesel" wash..

This was a simple case of a dispute over criminality.. some people just don't want to accept that

It is quite likely that there was involvement by people who were in the past members of the Provisional IRA .. that does not however mean that the IRA were invovled in the planning or carrying out of the killing ..

For example, I might be a member of a local GAA club.. I might carry out a crime.. does this mean that the local GAA club must take responsibility for my actions ?

What happens if the whole GAA club commit the crime with you? Would it still be believable to deny the club were involved?

Are you suggesting that the whole of the Provisional IRA were involved in the killing of Paul Quinn ?

Folks, time to realise that we can't just out and out blame the IRA 100% for some of its members engaging in criminality. Likely their activity was considered "grey" in that it was not forbidden, but also not specifically sanctioned.

I think it could be compared to what happens after most conflicts, ie: confederate Quantrill's Raiders, who continue after the conflict has ended, albeit for their own ends. Where culpability will fall somewhere between the organisation they belonged to and the individuals themselves, in that there may or may not be tacit permission.

However this is all conjecture, as it has not been established just what the facts of the case are. There may (however unlikely) be no IRA involvement whatsoever.
Where they burn books, they soon burn people

Are you suggesting the IRA weren't involved?

Just like some in F.F. or maybe not as smart, they just forget things or cannot remember.
