I really think things would be progressing much further with Paisley, who certainly seemed to have a road to damascus type convertion coming to the end of his political tenure. Alas, Robinson it seems wants to put his own mark on things and seek validation from the old school unionists who still have a major issue coming to terms with powersharing with Taigs.
I actually agree, i found myself hating Paisley for most of my life and most nationalists did, as he spent his life spitting venom about us 'papists' and how evil we all are.
However Paisley was capable of compromise, in the end he could work with nationalists and they could work with him and that is what is important and what governance is all about.

Robinson believes that he is upholding unionist superiority by not compromising, powersharing is compromise and unionists must respect the wishes and desires of nationalists and not completely ignore the entire community.
Nationalists cant even secure the 2/3 vote in Limavady to offer a sign of peace to two priests of different religions, yet in Belfast they get 55% of the vote and can march soldiers all over the place.

We cant get the same language acts as Scotland and Wales because unionists believe it will be divisive yet they can insult our cultural sports and spend their time on the airwaves demonising catholics.
The DUP do not belong in this century.
