Where will the Belfast Lord Mayor be next Sunday ?

Just wondering where Belfast’s Lord Mayor and First Citizen, Tom Hartley, will be next Sunday?

Will he join the majority of the people of Belfast and congratulate our Armed Forces on their safe return home from a successful tour of duty ?

A couple of good Ulster Club GAA Championship games on next Sunday, I'd say he'll be wishing our footballers well and watching the action in our National Sport.

Btw - I wasn't aware the North had sent troops to Chad also?

Well as Lord Mayor who is suppose to represent everyone in the City he should be at the MOD Home Coming.

Now everyone knows he can't show his face - but then the following week he'll nip out when no-one is looking and lay a wreath to the dead of previous wars !!

And, of course, the multitude of Brit/Prod baiting threads by the Republican Ranter and Dimwit Brigade on this topic aren't trolling.

It's a perfectly reasonable question, and I congratulate Belfast Citizen for asking it.

Yes, indeed. Perhaps he should have a spot in the parade?
But the bravest fell, and the requiem bell rang mournfully and clear

Hopefully he'll be in the ranks of the thousands of others who will be out in force to show their opposition to the garrison rabble.
