UUP Space Cadet Lets the Mask Slip

UUP Cllr Neil Armstrong has apparently let his mask slip on a GAA discussion board. On a topic on the general disscussion section of the site a post was made by 'The Bard of Dunclug' saying something along the lines of - he would take pleasure if some posters where taken out by the real Northern Ireland Army and shot. Some posters discovered on the profile of The Bard of Dunclug that the personel email address of the poster was visible as cllrneilarmstrong. The discussion can be seen here after some posts have been edited and removed by a moderater.

"You mean it has been claimed?"

UUP councillor caught up in GAA web row - Belfast Today

It's a measure of how bigoted Republicans are that they fall for simple trolling just to throw some muck at a hun. Comments like Muscailte's show just how cherished Unionist children of the "nation" are by Republicans.

I have no idea whether Armstrong is guilty or not but two things jump out at me; Why in the world would any Republican cherish a Unionist, when do political opponents anywhere in the world cherish each other. Also, if you want to prove that this man is innocent, try quoting someone other than the News Letter, can you really expect Republicans to read that link and say okay, obviously not guilty. I've checked around for this story and there is nothing to indicate that Armstrong can prove dirty tricks, is there some reason you wish to ensure he is cleared of the accusations?

The onus isn't on me to prove that Neil Armstrong wasn't responsible as there isn't a shred of evidence he was. Anyone could have set up an account using his name as moniker, much in the way I could set up one with your name here and have you confessing to being a baby raping priest.

It just goes to show how deeply ingrained the sectarian hatred is in the Nationalist community when the desperately grasp at straws like this just to make "themmums" look bad.

irish news............THE chairman of the Antrim County Board last night called for an
online GAA discussion forum to be shut down.

Dr John McSparran said there was no control over the site,
OpenDNS. com, which meant that anyone could post offensive
comments while hiding behind pseudonYms or even by using other members
log-in names...............Mr Armstrong's username has now been removed from the website.

The website's moderators say they have doubts as to whether the
controversial comments were made by Mr Armstrong.

I also believe that the Bard was accused on the grounds that the poster used his monicker, however that is not proof and I for one would not accuse him.
