    Naysayers and Begrudgers?

If I was Mark Durkan or Reg Empey, I'd be very proud of myself. Does no-one else in the NIA realise that they both hit the nail on the head today by saying that SF were totally wrong in going to the British PM about issues that should be debated in the chamber. What indeed are SF even doing in Stormont if they cant debate outstanding issues of the SAA there?
"Yeah, well, there's a mirror in the toilet if you want to go in there and talk to them." - Brian Cowen responding to Martin McG - "We'll have to consult the army council on this"

A very good question. Add to that "Why did Sinn Fein agree to a restoration of Stormont?" Add to that "Why do they want control over law and order returned to Stormont - and, hence, under Protestant power?"

Those same questions could be put to the SDLP.

    Roger,
Do you ever tire of moaning about Protestants? It must be great to be able to blame all the worries of your narrow world on one group of people and have no responsibilty for your own success or failure in life.I'd say you'd be lost without them as you would have no one to blame for your terrible existence.

As to the original point SF, like Roger, need somebody else to take responsibility for everything so they can avoid blame when unpopular decisions are made.

I was not "moaning" about Protestants. I was questioning why Sinn Fein were at Stormont. I still question that.

Please mind your manners. What a person feels about his own life is a very personal matter. Spare me your sermons, please. But, thank you, for admitting that I have a terrible existence. I have, indeed.

Are you American? Are you one of those Americans who is going to free Ireland from the iron-grip of perfidious Albion by posting on the internet?

I mean...you prattle on at some length about things, without any real grasp of the issues, it rather looks like, and then you ask to be spared a sermon with absolutely no sense of irony.

No, I am not an American. I have lived all my life in Northern Ireland. The remainder of your post indicates that you have not been reading mine.

"The thing that always annoyed me about traditional Irish historiography was the paradox of its Anglocentrism. People are now prepared, I think, to confront the possibility that many Irish problems are, in a sense, indigenous to the Irish situation." Roy Foster (1989).

Congradulations to Gerry Adams and Martin MaGuinness for doing a great job, that is carrying out the wishes of the people who elected them, unlike the S.D.L.P who continue to snipe from the wings though
it will not do them much good, their electorate have decided to move on.
