Is Paisley finished?

For some time I have been of the opinion that the knives are out. I note that during the Seymour Sweeney episode very little support for Ian Og was forthcoming from his own party - so desperate were they to clear their name that Ian Og's wife for the first time spoke in public.

This would not have happened before - the entire party machine would have been thrown in behind him.

Then the latest about his triple jobbing and he was still on his own.

I am of the opinion that the DUP is going through changes. They want to get rid of Paisley and want to get at him through his son, and as a bonus destroying any hope of a dynasty establishing.

Now Paisley has got what he always wanted - the leadership of the unionist people - (and remember he jettisoned his leadership of Free Presbyterianism to ensure he maintained this) - what else is there? Why fight except to get his son a high position in the party.

As well as this there are many - not just TUV types - who are not pleased with the present situation vis-a-vis Stormont.

They only questions are when, who and how. Or will the conspirators wait to see if nature does the dirty work for them?

(Guys, when I type in capitals it isn't shouting. I have technical problems which makes using italics difficult. Please don't take offence if you see capitals used!)

I just wonder who is the, Cassius, Decimus and Brutus in this scenaria - and will he who wields the sword wear the crown?

The questions keep coming.

Sorry, you think the knives are out, right, but do you think he's finished?

If you had the decency to post your own views, that would be REAL helpful.

Paisley Junior never really had the same standing or ability (if you could call it that) as his father. He is back bench material, but the name will be worth a few votes.

I believe that initially the party did try to swing in behind him but later regretted doing so, Foster landed herself in the soup over this.

Undoubtedly there are Unionists that realise that the DOC is getting on and want to reorganise now. There may even be a fundamental change in Unionism post Paisley senior, it is potentially very fluid and you can expect attempts to unite Unionism.

Do I need to have a view? Perhaps I am just interested in watching the outcome.

When a Southerner gets hit with an answer they usually stick their head in the sand so maybe we are fed up talking to your arses?
I'm really easy to get along with once you people learn to worship me.
