Of course not - they're all ready in the UK - she was just advising them to go to a different part of the UK.

    That clear up the confusion?

    Well said, Carson's cat.
It is infuriating how Irish media and middle classes think "the UK" and Britain and England are synonomous.

Indeed, perhaps the title should end with "the mainland" for clarification.
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

Caitriona Ruane's advice sounds pretty anti-partionist to me. As long as you're talking about not partioning the UK that is.

The SDLP have suddenly become very concerned about Irish nationalism, is this a late conversion!!..Republicanism or nationalism was never high on their agenda in the past....Teachers seeking jobs elsewhere is surely not a major issue especially when there are no vacancies at home....

Has the SDLP lost touch with reality.

To be fair factual, no one here actually cares what you think about anything.

Seriously though lads, are the SDLP that desperate for a press release. Look stop pretending to be so upset. Ye are all part of the same unaccountable government there to rubberstamp British government policy such as privatisation.

I have to say this is a fairly desparate point to issue a press release on by the SDLP. It makes them look quite pathethic.

You think that's bad I misread this thread title with the one below it "Sinn Fein Minister tells young Irish people to move to Kabul.

Also, how do we know their were Irish people, does Northern Ireland not have any young British teachers? And what did the SDLP expect the Minister to do, announce a multi-million pound program to build empty schools to house these surplus teachers of undefined citizenship?
    A poster of some consequence...
