    loyalists psychological effect on nationalist/republicans

On this forum and others you see almost CONSTANTLY the republicans bringing up the brits and what they done and who they killed etc they really give the impression the brits campaign has really dug so much into their psyche and culture it is their ultimate bogeyman for almost anything

Even on super republican scum sites like i-r-a.th the great bulk of their paranoid, racist and anti-prod bigotry is about the brits and how the brits are responsible for every single thing that goes against them.

All I can see is it must be crap to be a republican and also must be a handy tool to scare their kids with the brits into behaving a little better Wink

The loyalists certainly has had a greater effect on the nationalist/republicans community as a whole than any nationalist could do to the loyalists or could EVER do in this day and age.

Ah, now janep hope you are not getting annoyed at the effects of the chuckies on the huns? But a good question anyway.

As I have said in the other thread many, many Irish men and women have come to identify with the British adopting their lifestyles, beliefs, etc. But it does not appear that the Loyalists have had that big an impact. Sure when the creme de la creme of Ulster Loyalism the Shankill Butchers were carving up all they could get their psychopathic little hands on then surely this would have cause much concern in and around Belfast, and sure many people were effected by the sectarian nature of their campaign but lets face it the only people that need to really have concerns about Loyalists are other drug dealers and pimps!

well i'm happy to see unionist still being regularily slated because it proves that we are a long long way off from even considering a united ireland what with the attitude of anti-unionists.

so keep it up - it keeps us apart

You refer to comments aimed at Loyalists and then say that the attitude of anti-unionists. keep 'us' apart you appear to be insinuating that remarks made against Loyalists are made against Unionists, if you are not please clarify why you feel Anti- Loyalist is the same as Anti- Unionist.
