    Traders fear parade 'disruption'

Traders in a County Down seaside town are concerned that a loyal order parade and a concert on consecutive Saturdays may affect business.
It would seem that traditional Unionist areas are beginning to realise that their parades aren't alwasy good news. Full story here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6945533.stm

How will Bangor suffer, when thousands of people will be coming into the town to either parade. If the shops stay open, the people will surely be spending money in the town.

But surely they won't as they will fear for their premises?

No premises have been damaged at previous Royal Black Institution, Orange Order or AboD parades?? What is there to fear. If they remain open - bussiness will go on as usual....

Again, from my own experience in Derry in the 1980's, shops remained closed and boarded up in case of drunken 'supporters'.
