Four men from Belfast have been remanded in custody after appearing in court in connection with riots in north Belfast on the 12 July.
They are Aiden McCrory, 25, of Eglantine Avenue, Gary Martin, 41, of Benview Drive, Dean Cromie, 18, of Alliance Road and Michael McDonnell, 23, of Ardoyne Road.
The riots followed contentious marches past the Ardoyne shops.
Twenty police officers were injured and up to 10 shots were fired at police.
In court one of the accused Dean Cromie was seen uprooting a tree in Ardoyne and using it to charge at police lines.
Another, Gary Martin, was witnessed throwing bottles and bricks at the police. He told officers:
"I love you guys, but I will still fight you.
