The Protest against Orde has been called off as has Orde's visit to Derry. Apparently no one would share the stage with him because of the protest.

These devices were hoaxes which amounted to little more than aerosol cans with tape around them, anyone could have done it. I think those who were protesting may have preferred the visit to go ahead in order to demonstrate the scale of the rejection of the RUC in the city, i believe that is why the event was cancelled. Word in Derry is that other 'republicans' may have been behind this so as to save embarrassment at the opposition to their support for Orde. Who knows?

Sinn Féin have welcomed Hugh Orde to West Belfast
Pity the event was in Derry.

The event was cancelled last night while the alert was only raised today, and the funny thing is that there was several bomb alerts at other events recently yet there wasnt any word of cancellation then.
