    Oppose the unfair F.A.I.R rally!

    Oppose the unfair F.A.I.R rally!

As republican socialists we find it easy to oppose the “love Ulster rally and F.A.I.R organisation. As democrats and those sensitive to injustice we can see the sectarian nature of this rally and hope that you can see past the spin and while looking the facts in the face declare your disgust at having to put up with sectarian bigots stirring up more hatred on the streets.

Mr Frazer’s organisation represents the “victims” of the UDR and RUC, particularly from south Armagh. These same “victims” are suspected of carrying out the no warning Dublin and Monaghan bombings which killed 33 shoppers in Dublin alone. He intended, in last years rally to carry the picture of Robert McConnell, the man suspected of being responsible for the Dublin bomb, and claim him as a “victim”. He would have carried this mans picture right past the very place he murdered innocent Dublin people if it wasn’t for the protests last year, no doubt he will be trying the same trick again this year. These UDR “victims” were also suspects in the Miami show band massacre and also for the random killing of innocent Catholics, no wonder they were targets by the IRA.

“love Ulster” draws its support from loyalist paramilitaries and far-right religious bigots. One of these is Jackie McDonald, brigadier of the UDA who are renowned for their drug dealing in the north. He mimicked the landing of UVF guns in 1912 at the launch of “love Ulster” by collecting bundles of its newspaper at Larne harbour in a media stunt. The people who support and are active within this organisation are those who took part in the Holly Cross scandal, when these sectarians used urine filled balloons, scary masks, and even pipe bombs to keep school children from going to school because of their religion. Remember Willie intends on bringing 3000 of these bigots to Dublin this year, along with the sectarian Orange Order, are these the people you want parading down O’Connell street?

Willie Frazer had his gun licence revoked because of his dodgy dealings with loyalist paramilitaries and his links to the KKK are well known, he even invited them to Ireland to witness the “horror protestants live in every day because of republican violence” it would be funny if it wasn’t so serious. This man said he welcomes loyalist paramilitaries at “love Ulster”, and this coming from someone who represents victims of violence? His agenda is plain to see.

Republican socialists do not take any sides when it comes to victims, the only victims are the working class, of both religions and traditions. The British and Irish state are only too happy in playing along with the myth that the Irish struggle is a religious one, this keeps the workers fighting between themselves, identifying as either Catholic or Protestant, instead of realising that those who oppress the two communities are the capitalist class and fighting against them. This rally is a small minority of people in Ireland who identify with this myth and who are only too happy, to still harp on about “protestant victims” because without this myth their support base would vanish along with their sectarianism and bigotry. This is their agenda and Dublin people should oppose it!

Willie and his ilk thrive on confrontation and newspaper inches.

Deprive them of the oxygen of attention or publicity and they will be irrelevant.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

I agree with everything you say but your thinking should be more influenced by whether unionists can see past the spin. Think of the impression it creates when this parade is disrupted - not whether it should be disrupted or not.

So if a middle-class person like myself is caught up in a republican car bombing or shooting, for instance, I don't matter ?

Where I don't agree with Mr. Frazer and do see through his nonsense I also respect the fact that this is a democratic nation that allows people to legally march and protest. Insighting people to counter protest will only lead to a repeat of the disgraceful scenes we witneessed at the last attempted march which lead to the rest of the law abidding citizens of this country to hang our heads in shame at what thugs and rent-a-mob anarchists would do "in the name of Ireland".

Seabird, on a diferent note, I take huge exception to the remark,

"when it comes to victims, the only victims are the working class".

This is the usual clap-trap nonsense the ('border line extreemist') left use to mold EVERY situation they want into an anti-capitalist rant. Playing on the memories of victims of over 30 years of unneccessary violence is dispicable, no matter what you hope to achieve by it. Innocent people from all walks of life were killed. That's an undisputable fact!

Please take your conspiracy theories somewhere else where there aren't sane people that will (unavoidably) take offence to your lunatic ramblings.

Couldnt agree with you more. The more publicity one gives to these guys, the more likely it will be that the event will come to a terrible conclusion.

It must be remembered that the last love ulster march was disrupted, not so much by RSF, but local troublemakers who saw this as an opportunity to cause havoc on Dublin's fair city.

This was not the actions of disaffected or disconnected youth. It was the actions of Dublin's Scumbags.

Ignore it, dont publicise it, and we can get on with our lives
