Perhaps you should report your suspicions to the mods and suggest they suspend him on compassionate grounds?

If we learn to make allowances for our individual quirks, that will probably help us to make allowances for the "quirks" of the viewpoints we are arguing against. So it may be best to try to keep everyone on board.

Has anyone ever told you you're a very agreeable guy? I can't imagine you arguing with anyone.

This sort of attack deserves to be condemned. Shameful and morally wrong.
He's damn lucky they didn't shoot him.

When I was in my late teens and early twenties (back in 70/80's) I met a lot of low grade idealistic 'freedom fighters' who spouted this kind of guff with genuine belief, and indeed circumstances in the North played their part in this formation.

Someone spouting it these days would have to be either brainwashed by a parent or intellectually unable to frame history and make a real independent judgement for themselves of where we are now.
