Orangefest not included in Tourist Board list

Jim Rodgers (I'm sure he does) is up in arms because the board did not include the 12th in it's list of events ..

Audioboo / Jim Rodgers criticises NI Tourist Board after Twelfth events are omitted from Our Time Our Place calendar

We then had callers saying that it was inclusive but then they inevitably slipped out and start talking about there being a constant attack on their culture.

The best bit was the TB's reply; The OO did not even apply to be on the list..

Audioboo / Northern Ireland Tourist Board respond to criticism over omission of Twelfth events on website calendar

tbh when you already have thousands of events attended by thousands and attract 500k to your main event who needs the tourist board? (why is there no smiley with a collarette? discrimination?)

How is it discrimination if the OO didn't apply to be included?

    It'snot exactly like they're new

You'd love the pic my mate has of his dog wearing his dad's old collarette.

indeed they are not new, in fact at a guess most people including the tourist board would know that the largest cultural event in n.ireland happens on the 12th of july....

re this i would guess that there is shared blame i.e a) the OO should have it's act together re advertising the 12th AND b) the tourist board should have it's act together re advertising the 12th.

    Nah.

My mate's dog is a staffy so it fits well and looks the part (not having a dig)
