Difficulties keeping track of the discussions

Sometimes I find it a bit difficult to keep track of the various discussions here.

Today, I could not remember whether the discussion about the RAF bombing German cities was in the thread about Peter Robinson going to a GAA game or the one about Derry hosting the Fleadh.

Do you ever face the same problem?

All the time and it normally reverts to being called "Orange" which I am not, "Loyalist" which I am not or worse in favour of the monarchy which I am opposed to.

One comment about SF or Republicans will lead to this oh and also tarred with being sectarian to the core. The thread subject matter will make no difference.

    All good craic.

It's a moderation issue, David, which has been raised here time and again (deleting repeatedly off-topic posts, banning needlessly abusive posters etc.)

I do agree though that threads have been getting markedly worse over the past few weeks.

Probably worth pointing out that David is one of the most courteous of the six county posters.

Discussions do go off topic a lot but it's my perception that the general mood has improved over the past few months. It can get nasty but at one time it seemed that all threads were sectarian bitch fests.

That's a fair point. There do seem to be less rage-filled exchanges.

Just over the last few weeks this seems to have been the case - a fair point.

In terms of going off-topic, I was the offender in this case. In reply to a short, throw-away remark from GlobalJustice, I put in a long piece about the bombing of German cities. And then felt a bit ridiculous when I realised what the thread was actually about - Peter Robinson going to a GAA game.
