    Stores in the Republic of Ireland are "not affected at this time", GameStop regional boss Michael Finucane explained to MCV.
    "The recent store closures in Northern Ireland are part of our plan, announced six months ago, to exit the UK market from a brick and mortar perspective.

    Looks like all stores will eventually go.

    Obviously people dont play enough with their Wii.

    Hardly surprising. The era of buying DVD's, music and games in shops is rapidly drawing to an end. Chartbusters and Virgin Megastores have long since gone. HMV is heading that way too. Only a matter of time before other entertainment retailers vanish. Digital distribution is the future.

    Shame the same thing couldn't happen to the OO. Their marching could be restricted to the Information Superhighway instead of the 'Queens Highway'.
