British Army 'Operations' in the Six

You may or may not have seen the article in the northern Sunday World about the death of a man in North Antrim who was hit and killed by a car on the Frocess Road early morning a couple of Saturday's ago. Well seems the driver of the car was found out after he went to get the stolen car fixed at a garage and the mechanic got suspicious. He was a British soldier.

Anyway this led the PSNI to uncover a stolen car ring where British soldiers were stealing cars in Catholic areas at night in North Antrim, drive them to St. Patrick's RIR barracks in Ballymena, store them there in the car park, then ship them out to England for resale. This has been going on for three years.

What must be realised here is that British soldiers had to have been operating in Catholic areas at night, parked in fields and laybys in order to gain intelligence and what cars to target. Now we know what all those low flyovers were about. The PSNI said they had suspected a stolen car ring in the base for years but they never acted on it. When they went into the base they found parked cars stolen from Catholic homes across North Antrim.

I'm posting this so the revelation won't be swept under the carpet as usual and I'm absolutely disgusted by it. If they have been doing it in N.Antrim they've certainly been doing it elsewhere.

Eamonn, very interesting...I'm living in S/Derry and hadn't heard that at all. I'll have to start buying the Sunday World I'm surprised Daily Ireland hasn't picked up on that story.
