I wouldn't waste my time listening, Pat. Pravda is so last century, but you could do worse than get off your high-horse. Adams vote in 1992 also probably went down because the undecideds couldn't quite be persuaded to vote to endorse the on-going and increasingly bankrupt killing spree.

We see a pattern here which is that the SDLP have consistently failed to put workers on the ground in places like Belfast.

In contrast Sinn Féin have put workers on the ground and earned the respect and loyalty of the voters.

As such one only need wait to the next election to see the electorates verdict on the SDLP.

    Shame on them all!
Corrected your typo. Now cry me a river.

Real politik for SF that will be repaid in spades by the Ministers for Education, DRD and Agriculture + the Deputy Frist Minister when the SDLP come crawling for help.
As El-B said, whatever happened to Unionist outreach?
This thread is preposterous - whiny Shinners dabbing their eyes because they didn't get sweeties that they were never promised in the first place because they reneged on their own promises last year!
If PSF elected members actually were to act with the irresponsibility in office that you suggest they will, Pat, then they'll reap what they sow next election.
What will their response be, Pat? Reinstating state funds for the UDA perhaps?

Oh god. Not another Mary Lou McDonald! Where does SF get these people? [/quote]

Knowing Tierna well enough, S/F in N/Blfast is privileged having such a dedicated worker. For the past three years, she's also been a Youth Worker in the area. Whch in my opinion is an important role, specially in an area of high deprivation.

I hope they're better than the workers you put on the ground in Dublin Central.

I'd rather have Sammy Wilson as mayor again than this renegade from the fashion wing of Republicanism.
At least he provided comic relief.

Sammy Wilson cannot be described as a progressive politician.

Sure and the people are going to vote for the SDLP. A [party that has few members and has to pay election workers.

You are right of course, the voters will punish the SDLP(yet again).

As for the behaviour of SF, if the SDLP want to try and be clever in votes like this then they will be faced with the dilemna of where the real power lies and they will be made to squirm because of it.
