    Jerry McCabe

Okay, just wanted to ask, I read an article today or yesterday about a Sinn Fein celebration fundraiser for the guys who murdered Gerry Mccabe.
Is this true? Is this a moral thing to do if it is true? what do Republicans on this site think?

I think his name is Gerry Mc Cabe. It might be worth getting his name right if you are about to do the crocodile tears act.

Re Gerry McCabe - if SF are raising funds, they should do so for his widow and children.

I hope they have ceased to argue that there was a political excuse for his murder.

the man is dead, it's was a terrible act that has deprived a family of it's father and husband. the people concerned are serving their time as they were sentenced. move on and grow up. anne mccabe deserves all our sympathy for her loss but she is worth no more consideration than the wife of an ruc or brit soldier killed during the 'troubles'. get over it.

Outside - the man was murdered by by people trying to rob money from the post office. There is no possible excuse for this murder. Sinn Fein should not have condoned it by seeking early release of those convicted for it.

Only for intimidation of witnesses those sentenced would have been serving much longer sentences.

Your glib and callous suggestion to "get over it" is unacceptable to the majority of the people in this Republic. That attitude accounts for the lack of political progress by Sinn Fein in the Republic.
