Ian Paisley jnr: My views on gays have matured

..Now, four years on, he [Paisley Jnr.] says his stance has “matured”, although he still shrouded his comments with talk of sin. “I think I have grown up since then,” he said. “I have strong Christian beliefs and moral viewpoints, but you have to realise that while sin is black and white, life is a lot of grey.
“You have to be mature about these things. I can strongly disagree with those viewpoints, but the point is how you disagree.”

...Ian Paisley jnr sparked controversy in May 2007 when he spoke out against the gay community. He told Hot Press: “I am pretty repulsed by gay and lesbianism. I think it is wrong. I think that those people harm themselves — without caring about it — harm society”.http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/local-national/northern-ireland/ian-paisley-jnr-my-views-on-gays-have-matured-15155283.html

DUP charm offensive continues of course but i've re-read the quotes and it doesn't appear that his stance has changed at all.. he still thinks homosexuals are in error morally. What is he playing at stirring this up again just in time for Iris's return?

    Very encouraging.

This might actually be an influence that SF have had on the DUP. SF were the first party in Ireland to recognise the importance of gay rights issues.

Are you a propaganda merchant or what? I've seen every new job being credited by you to Sinn Fein's non-existent economic strategy. I suppose you did law and order first too? What about democracy, that's bound to be a Sinn Fein thing even when you lot were murdering people when you didn't have a mandate more than 20% on the island and 15% in Northern Ireland.

    Jeez!!!!

Yet SF continue to have not one single gay public representative that has come out of the closet. There is a certain well known, rising star of the party that is known to be homosexual yet he continues to hide this fact. This is most likely due to latent anti-gay bigotry in the IRA community.

eg. Man flees home over anti-gay 'IRA' attacks
